The training for judges 2020
From the 3rd of September to the 14th of October the pieces of training for judges in the field of nature protection regulations took place.
The pieces of training were organized by the General Directorate for Environmental Protection, as a part of the LIFE project: You have right to the effective protection of nature. Training schedule included: analysis of regulations on forms of nature protection and species protection with a discussion of the most frequently broken bans applicable to a given form; acquainting with the competencies of the Forest Guard in the context of crimes and offences against nature in State Forests in a given province; analysis of provisions regarding the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES Convention); discussing the proper conduct of evidence and its impact on the effectiveness of punishing perpetrators of crimes against nature and last but not least a presentation of the strategy for biodiversity by 2030 "Bringing nature back into our lives ".
The participants took part in a field visit during which they had been presented issues relating to the enforcement of nature protection regulations on the example of a nearby national park.

The pieces of training are carried out in close cooperation with police schools, the National Tax Administration, national parks and regional directorates for environmental protection, as well as the Chief Inspectorate for Environmental Protection and the General Directorate of State Forests.
Some pieces of training were cancelled due to the epidemiological situation in our country. There are plans to continue pieces of training next year. We will keep you informed about new dates.
